Watch Our Gardens Grow!
Our project commenced late summer 2010, with hardscape containing interpretations of the four values in the fall of 2011. A reflection pond illustrates ʻFaithʼ, a small amphitheater represents ʻEducationʼ, a beautiful entry and pathway from the Manti Cemetery into the Garden will help us show ʻCooperationʼ and stories of successful pioneer work in signage will explain ʻIndustryʼ.Manti Temple stone on signs, the pond and Cooperation wall and the building of an entry arbor are 90% finished. We have recently been the recipients of a large donation of trees and shrubs for planting - beginning next week.
We have the support of local church and governmental leaders and are all working together to complete the garden.
Our dedication activities for the Pioneer Heritage Garden are scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2012. Elder Marlin K. Jensen will be the dedicatory speaker and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will provide a beautiful program at the Snow College Activity Center.
